Licensed Associate Counselor, Fairfield

"I value the uniqueness of every client and take a practical, empathetic, and client focused role."
About
I am a Licensed Associate Counselor with years of experience working with individuals of all ages. I am not a traditional therapist who simply nods their head and asks, "How does that make you feel?" I value the uniqueness of every client and their experiences and tend to take a much more practical, empathetic, and client focused role. By doing this, I hope to build a strong therapeutic relationship where my clients feel supported, encouraged, cared for, and safe.
By building this relationship, the therapy journey begins to flourish. I believe that as humans, we have so much to learn from our experiences; we can grow from them, we can acknowledge them, and we can learn to work through them. Together we can develop healthy coping skills, grow from past experiences, and attain long-term goals.
I strive to provide my clients with understanding and support, regardless of what is being brought into the session. I work with individuals of all ages, but I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I utilize various modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Approaches, Person-Centered Therapy, and Positive Psychology Approaches. I tend to lead toward more of an integrative approach with my clients and firmly believe in choosing modalities and interventions based off of clients needs at the time.
